The programme of work focuses on
refining players techniques with emphasis on players
selecting the correct technique on demand, skill.
The programme is age appropriate and
careful consideration has been given to prioritise the
most relevant techniques to master for their age and
sets a solid foundation for players to advance to the
next level.
Players will take part in sessions
that will develop their ability to Run with the Ball,
Dribble, Shoot, Turn, Pass and Control etc.
As players progress will introduce one
touch play, a wide range of passing techniques,
crossing, various shooting techniques and heading.
We aim to further develop the players
understanding of ‘where’ ‘when’ and ‘how’
to pass, dribble or shoot.
This is what we call skill, the
ability to be in the right place at the right time and
to select the correct technique on demand.
Once they have mastered the various
techniques players will take part in various matches
i.e. 4v4 6v6 8v8 11v11.
All matches including pitch sizes are
age appropriate and are played to the same criteria as
the matches played at Premier Academies and Football
League Centre of Excellence.
Our unique coaching programme also
combines the three moments of a game.
When in POSSESSION
When the team is NOT in possession
When possession is LOST or REGAINED
The techniques and skills required for
the three moments of the game changes at different age
groups. Individual players develop their football skills
at different ages, at different rates and in different
ways.
Speed Agility & Quickness (SAQ)
In the modern game of soccer, explosive pace and the
ability to change direction quickly and accelerate
instantly are of increasing importance. As part of the
programme we incorporate various practices to develop
players Co-ordination, Speed, Agility and
Fitness by using up to date training equipment i.e.
Fast Foot Ladders, Micro and Macro Hurdles etc.
Our methods enable us to develop and
monitor the players progress, they are also practices
used by Premier Academies and Football League or Centre
of Excellence.
Food for football
Sound nutrition is essential for sporting success for
all ages. Food provides the fuel for good performance.

importance of good nutritional habits to support
training and performance. Fluid intake is also essential
to the proper functioning of the body.
