How does
soccerstar
work for its members and how do I join?
As a member you receive
discounted rates on bookings for all trial or skills
assessment days, have
access to our Members Corner where you can ask any
football related questions, ie coaching, fitness,
nutrition, trials etc., plus you will also receive
newsletters.
Registration and payment can be made
by cheque or postal order and can be made on the website
or by post.
Your payment details are handled by 'PayPal',
who are very secure and safeguard your account details
to prevent abuse from outsiders or indeed you can
register electronically and print the registration page
and send in a cheque.

What are Assessment Days?

Days are a unique coaching method, which
incorporates technical ability with skill assessments.
Enabling us to identify your
strengths and weaknesses and give you feed back on the
area you need to develop to trial at a Premier or

Are Assessment Days open to
non-members?
Yes, Assessment Days are open to non-members, but
members can book at a discounted rate.

What happens at an Assessment Day?
Players are given tips and shown demonstrations
of the major techniques needed to increase their chance
of being selected to attend an Academy or Centre of
Excellence. Once they have an understanding of the
techniques -dribbling, running with the ball, turning,
heading, shooting, speed - they will then be tested.
Each will receive an individual progress report.

Can I attend an
Assessment/Trial/Coaching Development Day if I play for
a local side?
Yes, we are not connected with any one particular
club. All of our days are open to all players at all
levels and abilities.
Can I attend a Trial Day without
being a member?
Yes, you will receive
discounted rates on bookings for all trial days
if you are a
soccerstar member. more info
Which Clubs attend the Trial Days?
Due to the fact that we book up venues well in advance
we will always attempt to inform members of the clubs
that are attending on the website or via our news
letter. Football Clubs normally confirm their attendance
1-2 weeks in advance of the Trial Day. We have links
with professional clubs form Premier to the Football
League, so we are able to cover every area of the UK.

When I go to book, my position
isn’t available?
When you book for a Trial Day
the list will only show the positions that are still
available. If your position isn’t shown it means it has
been booked. We strongly recommend members book early
to avoid disappointment. All bookings are taken on a
‘first come, first served’ basis.

After I have made my booking what
happens next?
soccerstar will
confirm your booking by email or post with Parent
Consent and a Terms and Conditions form that must be
signed and returned to us before taking part in any
Assessments or Trial. You will then receive all
instructions, times and directions 10-14 days prior to
the event. more info
What if I want to cancel my
booking?
Should you need to cancel your booking please advise
soccerstar at least
five working days before the
event by post. You will be refunded your booking
fee less 25% of the fee to cover the administration
costs and bank charges. If you cancel your booking less
than five working days before the event we are unable to refund or transfer the booking as
the event is closed and we are unable to find
replacements.
When and how would I hear if a club
was interested in me from a Trial Day?
soccerstar
would contact you immediately a club registered their
interest in you. This is normally within 1-2 weeks of
the event but can sometimes be longer.
soccerstar
would then arrange for yourself, your parents and the
club to discuss the club’s interest. However, we would
always ask you to keep us informed of any developments.
We are also able to give advice on contracts or any
legal matter regarding football.
What about travel arrangements?
soccerstar is
unable to help with the arrangements of any travel,
accommodation, etc. We will send you directions when you
book but all costs incurred must be covered by
yourselves. Should
soccerstar have
to cancel an event due to weather or other reasons,
soccerstar is
not responsible for any costs involved in travel
arrangements or accommodation. We will always refund in
full all booking fees or offer alternative dates or
venues.
Are Staff CRB Checked?
Yes,
soccerstar
believes that football should be safe
and enjoyable for all children and insist that all staff
have a CRB check (Criminal Records Bureau) and attended
A Child Protection Workshop.

Are staff FA Qualified?
Yes all our staff are FA Qualified ranging from FA
Coaching License to the UEF ‘A’ License and members of
FACA (FA Coaches Association).
